Maestro Umberto
Don Humberto Soncco Quispe is a Paqo — the high priest of the Q’ero tribe of the Peruvian Andes. Don Umberto is not a shaman, but one to whom shamans come for initiation. His Native American name, Sonko Kispe, translates as “Crystal Heart”, and his energy is so pure and full of love that it can be compared to that of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Crystal Heart comes from an ancient family of Andean priests. With the help of the spiritual powers of Apu (means ‘Lord’ in the Quechuan language), he performs ceremonies and spiritual initiations. Q’ero consider him Q’uraq Akulleq — the chief sage and priest of the city, able to travel throughout the realms without restrictions, initiate shamans, junior Paqos, and teach the Andean tradition in all ways indicated by the chakana. Don Umberto is able to bring together various cultural traditions in order to help spread this spirituality far and wide.
The community of the Q’ero Indians includes the last direct descendants of the ancient high priests of the Peruvian Andes, the sacred Incas. For centuries, they lived in remote villages high up in the mountains, at 5,000 meters or more, and were long thought to have disappeared until the Q’ero came down from the mountains in the 1950s to share their wisdom and prophecies with the people of the plains. The Q’ero are known as the Weavers of Light: they weave the symbols of the fifth dimension into their manta fabrics, which radiate light and life energy
Q’ero are one of the few people on our planet who have managed to preserve their ancient knowledge and codes intact, because for centuries they have not been subjected to external influence on their culture. The history of the Q’ero, which has been passed down from generation to generation for many hundreds of years, demonstrates they have the same origin as the ancient Maya, Hopi, Navajo and Tibetans. This is confirmed by the fact that their languages and rituals are very similar.
